SERVICES
What do I do?
Since I am just beginning my journey as a Knitting Technical Editor ...
I am charging a flat rate for my services. (See below) All amounts are in Singapore dollars (SGD).
This protects you from my inexperience as I will likely take longer than other experienced tech editors to complete the job.
In return, I would appreciate a testimonial.
With your consent, your design will be featured on this website, on Instagram and on Ravelry as part of my portfolio.
My job as tech editor is to help your creation shine. To produce a complete knitting pattern, it must be correct, clear, concise and consistent. I will look for the knots and straighten the kinks so your creation will be a joy to work on.
I am familiar with both British and American English.
My Tech Editing Process
-
Write to me via the CONTACT FORM to let me know you have a job.
-
You should receive an email response from me within 24 hours.
-
Send me your draft pattern, including charts, pictures and schematics. If you have a style guide, send that to me too. If you do not have a style guide, I can help you make one.
-
Our agreement will be via email.
-
As I am new to tech editing, I want to be as thorough as possible. I may consult you a few times during the next days as I go through your pattern as many times as it takes, until we are both satisfied.
-
I would be pleased to run through the final PDF before publication as well.
-
I would also appreciate a link to Ravelry and Instagram.
-
The job will conclude with payment (via PayPal) and a testimonial.
Please note that I am not confident enough in my skills yet to create grading, charting or schematics.
